Vacation Scholarship

Summer is a great time to continue looking, preparing, and applying for college scholarships. Many students take the words “summer vacation” literally and take a break from anything scholastic. Those who keep the goal in mind, and continue their scholarship quest will be ahead of the game.

There are still scholarships available for students still in middle or high school, as well as those packing for college. One is this one from Family Travel Forum.

Family vacations, last year’s school trips are more than memory makers. They are an opportunity for you to add to your college fund. This scholarship is for stories about trips, school trips or vacation trips. Information can be found on their website, here, for information about the scholarship contest.

The scholarship is open to students who:

• Are between the ages of 13 -18 and attending grades 8-12 as of August 2008.

• Are enrolled in a junior high, high school, or home school program in the United States, Canada, or abroad, in an American School.
• Students who have taken a trip within the last three years and were between the ages of 12-18 at the time of the trip.
